If your repair is mechanical we may be able to assist you regardless of your bike manufacturer.  IF YOUR ISSUE IS ELECTRONIC, WE CAN ONLY SERVICE ELECTRONIC ISSUES FOR MOKWHEEL EBIKES.

If your bike does require Service or Warranty attention, please call or email us first to schedule an appointment before bringing your bike to the shop. We may even be able to provide assistance for simple matters over the phone or by email.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE SERVICE – $89 (CALL FOR DETAILS & SCHEDULING

BIKE CLEANING

  • Avoid using water whenever possible.
  • If the bike gets wet, towel dry and re-apply lubricant as soon as possible.
  • Use a large, soft paint brush or soft towel to remove excess sand and dirt.
  • For periodic detailing, use a waterless detail product. DO NOT apply to brake rotors.
  • It is recommended to clean a minimum of once per month or more as needed with frequent riding or extreme riding.
  • Always clean/lube after riding on the beach. NEVER ride the bike in the Saltwater.

TIRE CARE

  • Always keep tires properly inflated for the best ride/wear/longevity and NEVER exceed the Maximum pressure requirements.
  • Check tires and manuals for minimum / maximum pressure limits.
  • Look for Pounds Per Square Inch (PSI) Max Pressure.
  • Always check tire pressure prior to each ride. Changes in air temperature can cause changes in tire pressure.
  • Always check tires for any damage prior to each ride.
  • Keep tires within 5% of the MAX PSI to extend tire life.
  • If using a tire cleaner product or dressing, avoid contact with brake rotors.

MAINTENANCE TIPS

BATTERY CHARGING

  • Consult your bike’s manual for specific information.
  • ONLY use the original bike charger.
  • DO NOT leave your battery on a charger overnight.
  • Use a timer as a reminder when to take the battery off the charger.
  • Lithium-Ion batteries will last longer with regular use and charging.
  • DO NOT leave your battery with Low or No Charge for extended periods.
  • The ideal time to charge your battery is between 50% – 20%. It is OK to occasionally run out completely, but DO NOT make it a practice.
  • Always plug the Charger into the Bike Before plugging, then plug into an Outlet.
  • The charger light will glow Red when Charging, and then return Green when Complete.
  • When charging is Complete Unplug from the Wall, and then Unplug from the Bike.
  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures. Keep the battery above freezing, and no hotter than 110 degrees Fahrenheit, if at all possible.
  • If you keep your bike in your garage, make sure it is well-ventilated.
  • If your garage is kept closed with no air circulation, take the battery (or bike) inside, if at all possible or take measures to improve circulation.

LUBRICATION

  • Apply monthly at minimum, more often if commuting or frequent/extreme riding.
  • Apply after you clean the bike, if the bike gets wet, or has been on the beach.
  • Apply to the chain, sprocket, cassette (gears), derailleur, and related hardware.
  • Apply to folding pedal springs, if applicable.
  • DO NOT apply lubricant to brake rotors or electrical components, leather or rubber.
  • There are many lubricants on the market specific to the bicycle industry. Do your research and choose the one that best fits your budget, riding habits, etc.

SAFETY

  • Always inspect your bike thoroughly before each ride.
  • Make sure tires are properly inflated and that no components or parts are loose.
  • ALWAYS wear a helmet.
